| Field Trips are fabulous
and fun!! |
| Patterson Farm
-
Patterson Farm is approximately 30
miles north of Charlotte, NC. They grow strawberries,
pumpkins, tomatoes, and poinsettias. They also have a barn
with several farm animals. We take our students there twice a year.
We go once in the fall for the pumpkins and then again in the
spring for the strawberries. |
| Pizza Hut - We take a trip to our
local Pizza Hut each year as part of our Community Helpers unit.
The children take a tour of the kitchen and then get to make
their own pizzas. It is definitely a favorite among the
children! |
| NC Zoo
- The NC Zoo is
located in Asheboro, NC. It has over 500 acres of animal
exhibits from two different continents. They offer very
informative educational sessions when a school group is there. |
| Discovery Place - Discovery Place is located in downtown Charlotte, NC. It is a hands-on museum for children. The Charlotte Observer IMAX Dome Theatre is there as well. |
