Here are several websites that correlate with reading in kindergarten and provide for a balanced literacy program.

North Carolina Department of Public Instruction - This site has all of the assessments and resources for the NC Kindergarten - 2nd Grade Literacy Assessment.  It is published by the NC DPI.
Hubbard's Cupboard - This is a favorite of mine!!  It is a great resource for a balanced literacy program.  It has everything from literacy centers to guided reading.  It also has some printable books to use for guided reading and they are free!!  This site is created and published by Michelle Hubbard under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 3.0 Unported Licence.
Starfall - This is an interactive site for children.  It has activities from letter recognition to reading selected books.  This site also has printables and activities for teachers.  It is published by Starfall Education.
Scholastic - This is a website that has something for teachers, parents and kids.  It has lesson plans, activities, online games and more.  It is created and maintained by Scholastic Inc.
Internet4Classrooms - This site covers everything from grade level help to online practice to assistance with assessments.  It also includes other core subject areas.  This site is published by Internet4Classrooms, LLC.
